Let’s start with the most obvious question, shall we? You’re here, ladies, because you can’t f*ck. Oh, stop it. Don’t cringe. No one under the age of 80 clutches their pearls. 4 JUSTICE stars! I am Justice Drake. And I turn housewives into whores. Now…who’s first? Justice Drake. He is a man you are going to want to meet! He has a job. His job is SEX. He lives it, breathes it, loves it, and instructs it. Sexy does not equate good sex. More often than not, this theory holds true. If it didn’t, I wouldn't be in business. And let me tell you, business is good. Very good. He has his average class of housewives. Housewives who (mostly) have unfaithful spouses. But there 4 JUSTICE stars! But there is something different about this class. Well, someone different. And her name is Allison Carr. Allison isn’t the normal girl he instructs. She has an attitude- she’s not concerned about every little thing she eats, or every hair being in place. She is a real woman. And there is something about her that draws her to Justice. Maybe she’s the riddle that I can’t figure out. Or maybe she’s so damn perfectly imperfect that it’s endearing. But whatever it is, it’s got me. Fucked up as it sounds, it’s got me. The last thing Justice would ever do is get involved with a client. Ever. His business is important to him. It’s even more important he stays professional and under the radar. But there is something about this girl. Her late night mint chocolate-chip binges, the constant re-runs of Friends she watches, her vibrant red hair, her curves, that he just can’t stay away from. When you spend your life in the dark, looking up and wishing for something better- something brighter- you don’t realize just how lonely you are. Not until the sun shines, shedding light on all the empty spaces and filling them with beautiful warmth. It’s a dangerous game he’s playing. Especially with all the players involved. Justice Drake isn’t just a sex instructor. He’s a man with secrets... When those secrets come out, it will rock everything. ‘It hurts because I’m already bending and breaking. And there’s nothing I can do to fix it. If all we have is now, I know I’ll never be whole again. And, God... it’s worth it. Justice Drake is all kinds of hot and sexy and hilarious! He really did tell it like it was, and that was refreshing! Some of the things that came out of his mouth made me spit out my coffee! Note to potential reader- eat or drink with caution while reading this one! There is more than one laugh out loud moment. This is what your husbands want to see when you open your legs. No one wants to fuck Chewbacca.
Then there’s Ally. This girl was awesome. The women at the retreat were a mix of vapid and shallow, or timid and self conscious. Ally broke the mold. I loved that she wasn’t afraid to speak up, wasn’t afraid to be herself. With Justice or anyone. Taint was a fun read. It had it’s more serious moments, but overall it was a fun and entertaining story. You will laugh, smile, fan yourself and fall in love with Justice Drake. The concept was original and delightful. I do wish we would have gotten more of an epilogue at the end, but I was happy with the way it ended. This is a story you won’t want to miss out on! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Now, if I need help making a fucking sandwich or getting red wine out of a linen tablecloth, I’ll ask for your opinion. Otherwise, shut those powder-pink lips and look pretty.” “That’s all they’re good for—looking pretty. Cooking. Cleaning. Taking care of disgusting, snotty-nosed spawn.” To this------> “Without argument, she turns and quickly makes her way toward the door, fire trailing behind her like a sad, shooting star" “She’s an angel. My angel with a halo of fire. Against the bare walls and sparse furnishings, she looks out of place. A woman like her should be surrounded by beauty, immersed in all things soft and gentle.” “The angel tumbles down to Earth into my own personal realm of lust, hedonism and shame. With eyes the color of the ocean and her halo of fire burning as bright as the desert sun, she speaks to me. And while she is raw and sullied, tainted by this beautiful hell, her words breathe life into the darkest, loneliest parts of me.” Which had me thinking----> I don't even understand this quote. Can someone please explain it to me ? What is Jiminy Cricket doing there? “Now that we’re here, alone, the halogen lights illuminating that tainted smile that I have no fucking right to bear, my lazy ass Jiminy Cricket decides to intervene. " Sorry but in my humble opinion the MC's sudden poetic personality distorted the story. Unless Allison's freckles cast a magical spell on him, I didn't get it... Folks, I AM NOT an avid chick-lit reader. Reviews for Taint are VERY favorable, it just wasn't my cuppa. For more reviews, Free E-books and Giveaways

Taint just made me her bitch for life and is one of my favorites reads of 2014…are we noticing a trend here? I’m hooked…sold…sign, sealed, delivered…she could write about snow melting on toilet paper and I. Will. Read. It. Probably with a dumb ass goofy grin on my face too…kinda like the one I’m wearing right now. But I’m getting ahead of myself. As usual. (I usually do when I love books as much as I loved this one!) Justice Drake…umm…hello – I want to hump his name! Then I find out he’s a 6’2” bronzed god with dark hair, denim blue eyes and muscles for days and I was drooling. A lot. Then…he opens his mouth…and I’m done for. Physically…yes, Justice is the definition of perfection in my eyes and I may or may not have the strong desire to lick him from head to toe…but Lord have mercy his personality is spot on for making me putty in his hands. That’s honestly what I fell in love with first (I swear…I’m really not lying about this!)…his wit, his sarcasm, his humor – I got it, I loved it, I couldn’t get enough of it. He was that perfect combination of charming but cocky, smooth and sexy, alluring but sincere. I can’t even tell you how many times I burst out laughing at some dry thought he had…for example, one of my fav’s… ‘I clear my throat, praying that when I finally grow the balls to open my mouth, actual words and sounds will come out.’ I mean…I had high expectations of Justice in my head and he completely exceeded every single one of them. I am a self-proclaimed manwhore lover and Justice has to be one of the best I’ve ever read. I love getting inside their head, understanding what makes them tic and then, of course, that moment when everything changes and the girl who is usually behind it….there’s nothing better. ‘I’m a lot of things – crass, stubborn, brutally honest, egotistical – but one thing I am not, is careless. I know my boundaries, and I never cross them. In a business where lines can be easily blurred, those boundaries are outlined in black Sharpie, traced in gasoline, then set the fuck on fire, ensuring that no one even gets close enough to inhale the fumes of temptation. Yet, here I am, touching, tempting, tasting the limits. Begging to get burned by an angel with a halo of fire.’ Allison Elliot-Carr…oh Ally girl…my fiery angel…that’s a great word for Ally…fiery. It very much depicts who she is in my mind. She’s got such a fierce and spicy personality…I loved her and how she both complimented and challenged Justice. She didn’t give in or conform, she wasn’t perfect, she just was who she was. Unapologetic, quirky, funny, and genuine. I loved that she didn’t back down from Justice…from the moment he threw his know-it-all attitude in her face, she was persistent and fought to see through to the real man lying underneath the bravado. I felt bad for her…for her situation…she felt stuck to me and I think she blamed herself for things that weren’t her fault, which broke my heart. I also felt her confliction because she knew that her actions might not exactly be pure but everything she was feeling with Justice was so real and intense. I can’t lie, I would kill to get some of Ally’s POV with all this…as much as I adored her personality, I can only imagine how fabulous it would be inside her head. ‘Seems like I can’t stop the word vomit when I’m with her. There’s just something about Ally that distracts me just enough to forget myself, beckoning my truth like a siren’s call. I just want to tell her…everything. Maybe we were friends in a past life. Or lovers.’ I’m such an angst whore…and I loved the angst between Justice and Ally…I love the build…I loved that it was forbidden…and call me cliché but I loved how he fought it (cause he did!) and absolutely couldn’t resist her. Deep down, man whore ways aside, job aside, past aside…Justice is a good guy. He may have an unconventional approach but his job is helping women…he just doesn’t sugar coat it…but there’s nothing wrong with that! I personally loved it! But back to J & A…they were so cute and normal together! I mean…their conversations, her either/or questions, eating ice cream together…their interactions were just so relaxed and casual and it was nice to just watch them get to know each other. The fact of what brought them together and why they were there just kind of…melted away and didn’t matter. I mean…yeah…so, they’re meeting is a little…different and their first encounter wasn’t ideal…and not many dudes know the girls entire history practically from birth like Justice does Ally but I think that’s part of what drew her to him. He needs different…he craves different – he can have and has had just about any girl out there…none of them have held his attention like Ally did…why? Because she’s not like all the other women that have come to Justice’s ‘workshops’…she’s not like all the other vapid socialites that are apart of that life…she’s not like every other girl that flocks to him…she’s unique…she doesn’t belong…just like him. ‘Kissing Ally would be so easy. Touching her, holding her, tasting her…it’d be like breathing. I want to breathe. I want to inhale her in every way possible. I want her life to sustain me, her heartbeat to synchronize with mine. But I don’t want to taint her. I don’t want her to be like me. A cheater. A deviant. An outcast. She deserves better, and I’m not better.’ All that angst was more than worth it…Ally and Justice are everything I could have ever dreamed for. I felt their passion…their connection…their pull – I think it’s physically impossible not to. Their sexual chemistry was just one more delicious layer of the A&J love fest that I was sucked into. I mean…Justice is walking sex to begin with…but hot damn! I was addicted. It was more that just sex…I keep going back to it but to me it was what made Justice and Ally, Justice and Ally. It really was all the small little details that when combined just makes them one of these perfectly amazing couples in my head…I don’t even know if I can pinpoint the moment they captured my heart but…they did. I loved that they built a friendship…they got to know each other more than just the bored housewife who can’t satisfy her husband and the guy who is going to help her bring the spark back to her marriage. They got to know each other as individuals…really see each other for more than just what everyone perceives. Obviously, the attraction is a given but to really hook a guy like Justice there has to be more than that…he can have any beautiful woman he wants…but Ally has this spark and personality that can’t be duplicated. ‘I know I want her body more than I want my next breath. And I know that meeting her, basking in her smiles and wanting her on me like a second skin has forever changed me. But can there ever be more? Can I spend every night counting her freckles, like I once counted the stars? Can I replace my sunrise with the vision of her sleeping beside me, fiery hair, wild and tangled all over her face? Can I swim in those too-big turquoise eyes and drown myself in her laughter every night? I think the biggest question is, How can I not?’ I really cannot say enough good things about S.L.’s writing…I loved every word of it. I was compelled to read, never wanted to stop, was tortured when I had to stop…I was an obsessed woman hypnotized by this genius. I even loved the little details, like the chapter titles…something so small it can be easily overlooked some times but to me it was a build up…added to the anticipation of what was to come. I loved that it was completely from Justice’s POV because being in his brain is like a million birthday’s and Christmas’s combined but seriously, Ms. Jennings can write an amazing male POV. It wasn’t over the top, it felt real and genuine…never forced or fake…there was not one moment when I thought that this didn’t sound like a guy, which unfortunately can be a side effect of a woman writing a man’s POV but she nailed it IMO. The blend of angst and sexiness with humor and emotion just totally got me. Plus, I loved the unpredictability of this book…the fact that I never saw any of the story coming made me a hundred different shades of giddy – I was on the edge of my seat (another reason I couldn’t stop turning the pages!). There was no way to even fathom what might come out of Justice’s mouth next so trying to figure out what might happen next was just out of the question. I swear, I was holding my breath up until the very end and the entire last 10%, if I wasn’t crying then my jaw was on the ground. ‘I kiss her again just to keep my mouth from admitting that it was. The beginning of the end. The very start of the saddest goodbye in history. Because after tonight, she’ll walk away from me and go back to him, holding a piece of me in the palm of her hand. And whenever I look up at the sky at night, wondering where she is, if she’s happy, if Evan laughs at her corny jokes or smiles whenever she does, that empty space left behind within me will ache with remembrance. Because her light once filled it. She filled me in a way that nobody on this Earth could. And I’ll never feel whole again.’ So…of course...I loved the ending…I really did – it clean, simple and exactly what I could have hoped for leaving me with a peaceful smile on my face but…I’m a clinger. I always want more…and I don’t know if I could ever get enough of these two together. I know this is going to sound crazy, cause I did love that this is a standalone – it’s an amazing standalone and if S.L. never wrote about these two again I would be fine with that, but…I will gladly take a million and one books from Justice Drake’s POV if she decides to write them. And maybe a few books from Ally’s POV (just sayin’). Taint is an addictive angsty wonder with phenomenal characters and the perfect blend of sexiness, humor and emotion – hands down one of the best books I’ve read this year!

I also expected a little more in the "sexy smexy" department...that isn't typically a deal breaker for me if I like the book I like it BUT the blurb made it sound like it was THAT kinda book;) I also loved Justice's no nonsense attitude in the beginning and that completely evaporated in the second half of this book. So I think it's safe to say I liked the first 50% and the second not so much. This is just my opinion I still think people should give this book a try because we all have different taste and wants from books.

Who is Justice Drake? Well, he's nothing like I expected. He's intriguing at first, but then gets depressing, like he's living in a bad mood. He came off as monotone and brought me down and then I lost the connection. I didn't enjoy being in his head. Things turned up as soon as Ally became more prominent. She livens the book up with humor before the structure crumbles again. And you can figure what happens next, maybe even guess the ending too. I wasn't really impressed. The blurb led me to believe that he was more "hands-on" with his students and clearly he was not. That wasn't why I read it though. I thought the setting and everything representative of the main character (his history and occupation) was clever and something I had never read before—something that interested me—however, the story did not hold my interest as much as the blurb did. I'm on the fence. It was okay but I probably won't think about it ever again. Still, I can see others really enjoying it. 2★'s? 3★'s? I've still not decided.

Jennings gets maximum points for the blurb on this one, even if it is slightly misleading. Justice Drake "I am Justice Drake," I state smugly without apology. It's a promise and an omen, gift-wrapped in two little words. Drake runs and exclusive resort which caters to the richest and most fabulous trophy wives. These women are sent to him by their philandering husbands in the hopes that Drake can turn them into sex kittens. Justice Drake takes these pampered housewives and teaches them how to walk, talk, dress, and suck dick. He reforms them into sexually confident women capable of keeping their husbands satisfied. 'Cause it's not about rekindling romance (in the unlikely event that there was any romance to begin with in their WASPy marriage) No, he turns these women into whores so that their husbands will quit fucking everyone else in town. These women just want to avoid a public scandal. Justice has the expertise and the gigantic ego needed to believe that he can turn these worthless fickle bitches into high-class sex dolls. Hey, that's not my opinion of the women sent to him, it's his. See, this book is 100% told from Justice Drake's POV and the fact that it was consistently alpha-male obnoxious was both the best and worst thing about this book. Needless to say, I spent most of the book doing this: Sit there and shut, up honey. One of us is a professional. Now, if I need help making a fucking sandwich or getting red wine out of a linen tablecloth, I'll ask for your opinion. Otherwise, shut those powder-pink lips and look pretty. Because Justice Drake is one of the biggest self-absorbed assholes I've ever read. He has no tact and no empathy toward these women. He broods, he's incredibly morose, and if he made one more reference to his mood being like the night sky I was going to beat him over the head with a stack of Emo records. He was born into the affluent lifestyle of his clients, but he fled that world for his desert sanctuary and sex-school. Oh, and he has a secret... But I'm sure you'll figure out what that is WAY before the reveal... Anyway, all these Alpha-Male asshole stereotypes have to meet that one woman who breaks the mold and seems to be immune to their charms... Allison Elliot-Carr She and I are cut from the same cloth - misfits among millionaires. She may have the money and the status, but she's faking it. She can't even be honest with herself, and that's why, as much as she intrigues me, she disgusts me just the same. At least that's what I tell myself. Allison is one half of some kind of Kennedy-esque loveless marriage. Her husband Evan keeps getting caught in the tabloids with other women (including her best friend) so Ally was sent to Justice Drake and hopes that she can learn enough to keep her husbands dick at home, where it belongs. Years of betrayal in a sexless and sterile marriage have left Allison with very little self-confidence. She is outspoken, goofy, and fairly awkward, so she doesn't really fin into the wealthy upper-crust she was born into. Believe it or not, sex with Justice Drake isn't in the curriculum for the six-week course - despite what the book blurb would have you believe. He pushes these wives outside their comfort zone. He makes them watch live sex, study porn, use sex toys, etc. but he is strictly hands-off. He doesn't even live in the mansion with all the horny housewives just to be safe. Not that he he isn't tempted... By Allison especially... So we know how that's gonna go... Drake does extensive (and invasive) background checks on everyone who comes through the door of his Sex School, but he knows Allison Carr is special... So let's break it down: - There were millions of references to the TV show Friends - Unresolved Sexual tension was completely off the charts - Loads and loads of marital infidelity - Rushed and unsatisfying ending - Fantastic panty-melting erotica - A completely obvious twist - Fun playful humor - Oppressive angst - Passable romance Ups and Downs with this one, folks... I'll let you decide if you're up to the challenge. For me, this was entertaining but it didn't live up to the expectations set forth by the badass book-blurb.

Justice is all business and that business is sex...teaching, showing and communicating. It's all kinds of awkward and uncomfortableness. It's almost as if you're one of his clients, shocked at the things he says and what he wants you to do. Allison, aka Ally, doesn't just follow the rest of the hens. She stands up for herself and calls Justice out on things. Sometimes that ends up with her storming off and him going after her or him not being happy with her and her coming to his house later. This then leads to some interesting encounters. They attempt to just be friends because, of course, Ally is married...even if it is to a cheating scum. I would have loved a chapter or two from her POV but we don't get that so we just get to hear what Ally means to Justice and it's bittersweet. But I loved the two choice questions, the ice cream and the "lobster". Naturally the steamy scenes are well, steamy and hecka delicious! He is a sex instructor for heaven's sake!! There are some things that Justice does that I just didn't care for, namely, "J" and "C". When you read it, you'll know what I'm talking about. I mean, who wants to read that? Justice is hiding some things and Ally tries to get to the bottom of it especially since he knows everything about her. Once the major drama was in play, it's not hard to figure out what the twist is and it's a goodie! My real problem is how things progress after that. The story is fractured and we only get pieces here and there and OMG, the ending? Seriously? That's all we get?? I NEED MORE!! On a positive note, the news article did help a teeny, tiny bit. He teaches housewives of the rich and famous how to become the whores their husbands crave in the bedroom. He has a set of rules by which he lives by. One of those is to NEVER get involved or attatched in any way to any of the housewives. He has a reputation to uphold. But this all changes the moment he sees Allison Carr. He fights the attraction, oh, how he fights it. But he can't help but want to keep spending time with her and making the most of it. I have got to say that Mr. Drake was so freaking SEXY!! I loved him. I even loved him when he became a love sick fool. I just loved him!! He was so smoking hot, and so yummy. But he also had some big secrets about his life. ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ● “Ally may be Evan’s by law, but she’s mine by nature. I really liked her alot. Sure, I would have liked her POV a few times during the book, but I was still happy with it ALL being in Justice's POV. Allison was funny, quirky, clumsy, had some attitude, was confident in her ideas yet self conscience with her body. She could be very accepting but also judgmental because of the life she lives. These women are all about appearances, gossip, etc. So, it's no wonder a little bit of that has rubbed onto Ally. For the most part, she was a kind hearted character and down to earth. I really liked her and don't blame her at all for not being able to resist Mr. McHottie Drake. ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ● Her scent surrounds me, digging its way into my skin and hair...into me. I will admit though, I did think this book was going to be more intense and dark. But instead, it was fun, steamy, and still very awesome. It did take a while for me to really connect with the characters, but the end I was glad I did. I mean I already liked Justice for making all those women so uncomfortable. I guess I'm a sick woman like he was because I really enjoyed all those scenes that shocked the housewives. I also was glad that Ally was not flawless, in fact, she was quite the opposite, which is what made her so relatable. ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ● “If all we have is now, I know I'll never be whole again. The ending was great but I did feel like it was missing something which is why it isn't a five star book to me. I needed an epilogue of something, but it was still very enjoyable. I loved all the references to pop culture because it added to the realism of it, and again made you relate more to it. It was a great unique story. It wasn't at all what I expected, but it was still really awesome. And I love the cover! Which reminds me, I'd like to thank S.L. Jennings for introducing me to my future hubby Hahaha!! ;) Anywhoo, this is definitely a book you should check out.

I wasn't sure what to expect. I thought this was going to be one smutty book but this was a story of finding your one true love, and OK, there was plenty of HOT SEX as well. Justice Drake is a "Sex Coach", who owns the beautiful OASIS SPA, where rich socialites go to learn how to be a "whore" in the bedroom to please their husbands, who have become bored with them and in turn have been unfaithful. This is their last shot at salvaging their marriages. Ally Elliot-Carr is one of these married socialites who has just arrived at Oasis. She is looking to save her marriage to her husband, Evan. Justice is almost instantly drawn to her. They end up spending a lot of time together and he's breaking all of his rules. He's never gotten involved with any of his clients and has been alone for so long but now, he finds himself wanting more. Wanting what he knows he can never have. Meeting her was like seeing a sunrise after being trapped in a dull, grey room with no windows. It was that first bite of ice cream on a treacherously hot summer's day. Without her, all is drab. Muted. Tasteless. Lonely. I felt like it took so long for Justice and Ally to get together but it was definitely very much worth the wait when it finally happened. I loved all the time they spent together eating ice cream and watching old episodes of "Friends". What made Justice so incredibly swoonworthy was how he seemed to adore everything about Ally, including her flaws. He says some of the most incredibly romantic things, and I found myself highlighting so much of this book! What we have, what I feel for her, goes far beyond rational explanation. "If all we have is now, I know I'll never be whole again. And, God...it's worth it. You're worth it. I'll gladly stay broken for you." I didn't see that big reveal coming towards the end of the book and actually don't even think that needed to be added to the story. Even though I completely fell for Justice and I loved all the moments he and Ally shared, I gave this a four because of that "out from left field" reveal, and the lack of an epilogue. I needed an epilogue and am disappointed that all we got was an excerpt from an article on "page six".

But Ally is another cheated little wife with an asshole of an husband and unfortunately his job his to turn their bad wedding into a sex-a-thon. And now that he wants someone for the first time, how will he turn her into the supposedly perfect little wife only to send her away to another man? Rating: 4 Stars. Storyline: Well, one thing I can say: Taint was refreshing and original. The blurb got me from the beginning and I was not disappointed. I saw a lot of mixed feelings towards some things that were said in the book, and yeah, there was some kind of chauvinist comments, but I truly believe it was the author’s away of trying to input some shady sense of humor into the book and the protagonist. C’mon people, don’t imagine problems were they don’t exist! Writing Style: First person, Male POV. (Which is always a bonus!). Sexy, funny and addictive. Character Development: Justice Drake is not an easy man to love, but believe, you’ll end up loving him anyway. He’s hiding under a hard shell, but there was a great man behind it. I really liked Ally, she was a real woman not afraid to show her true self and didn’t hide under the exigent of her social status. These two together were something hot, chemical and surprisingly sweet , and you can’t help wanting to burn along with them,. Steam: Hot. And expectably so. HEA: (view spoiler)[Yes. But I was expecting a “stronger” happy ending. It was sweet but fell very short. (hide spoiler)]

They both come different world yet their world collide. The closer Ally gets to him, he harder he tries to resist her. I love the way he talks to himself! Well, overall it was a really nice change, sadly it was a quick read and wish the author made an effort to write a better ending. Felt rushed there! Happy reading D xo

At his secluded slice of heaven, eleven women find themselves learning the art of seduction, being sexy and learning that maybe by being a little bit of a whore in the sack, their husbands won't stray. His job is simple. Break these society page perfect women and teach them how to get a little bit dirty. But Justice never imagined that one of these eleven women would penetrate through his professionalism and change the entire game. "I think you're sexy as fuck, Ally," I whisper, my breath tempting the skin right below her ear. "You just don't know it yet." Ally Carr isn't just rich in her own right, but married to money, money that has a wandering dick. An attempt to save her marriage lands Ally at the mercy of Justice. For the first time Ally is feeling sexy and alluring, but it has nothing to do with what she's being taught and everything to do with the man she can't seem to resist. As Justice comes to terms with the fact that he can't deny himself the one thing he wants more than anything before, his world starts to crumble around him. Will Justice teach Ally how to be the woman that might keep her husband's dick in his pants (however unlikely) or does he show Ally that there is something else out there, another choice? This was one of my highly anticipated reads of 2014. The blurb grabbed my attention, the idea of the story was so original and throw in Mike Thurston on the cover and I was sold. There is no doubt that this was well written and caught & kept my attention. I loved Justice and Ally. Together and as completely on their own. Ally was a goofball and I found that I really didn't have a single problem with her - her personality was fun, she had her own personal issues stuck in the place she found herself, but she was just down right adorable. Justice. Holy smokes. Mama is hot for teacher! I loved his assholery moments. When he would be blunt and just toss out there the facts without pulling any punches, I swooned. When I escape into the world of fiction I have no problem embracing the attraction to heroes who are just dicks. With Justice though, his outer shell was more of conditioning and he was a bit gooey in the center. I think the only think that really kept this from being a full five stars came down to a few details. 1. Justice had potential to be such a great asshole, but his inner thoughts were just a bit too soft at times. I love when the strong guy goes sweet - but I need to see him rough for quite a bit before I am ready for that sweet. Justice might have been too good of a guy (in a way). 2. Epilogue. I need one with a story like this. I needed to see what happened even a few days after where this ended or maybe a week... just something a little further past where it was. I had this great building feeling going on in my head as I read this and then just felt like I deflated a bit. This was my first SL Jennings book and it certainly won't be my last.

Holy fuck. I want this book NOW. <-- they were my original thoughts when I first read the blurb months ago. Now? Now, I'm not so sure it lived up to all of that excitement. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the book but it was nothing like I expected it to be. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the book but it was nothing like I expected it to be. For some reason (perhaps this is my fault for interpreting the blurb wrong) I expected a darker book, something raw and gritty. What I didn't expect was a story about a load of stuck up Upper-East siders who have come to this 'retreat' to help them become a better lay. The women in the book bored me, I didn't care about them and their problems. Even Ally, one of the main players in the book, didn't interest me at first. So when it finally got down to her having a real role in the book, I didn't really know who she was or what her story was. It became confusing. Justice Drake was also nothing as I expected. For him to be running this retreat, I expected him to have had some dark, twisted past. What in his life has made him the way he is? Why does he want to help out women with their problems? His real issue, which is revealed towards the end of the book, just didn't make sense to me in why he would be in the role he is. The guy is always alone, never getting close to anybody, and his reasoning just wasn't right to me. “I can't live without the sun shining down on my face, and I can't dream without the stars kissing me goodnight.” Aside from those issues, once I finally got stuck in to the book and the story I did really enjoy it. The build up of a relationship between Ally and Justice was interesting. I couldn't fathom how it would ever work - they come from world's apart, how could they ever be together? I didn't know how but I was dying to see how it would all play out. "If all we have is now, I know I'll never be whole again. And, God... it's worth it. You're worth it. I'll gladly stay broken for you." Overall, this was a good book and S.L. Jennings' writing was flawless. I couldn't fault that at all. It was just my issues with what I expected and what I actually got.

Preach it Drake, preach that shit….I’m a believer, can I get an Amen brother….I’m baaaaccckkkkk. Well TB asked me to review another book with them because the girls missed me and the book world seemed empty without my viewpoint. This time is was Taint. As always I knew nothing in advance about the book, I just go with the flow and I have to say it was a refreshing read. Finally, a book from a man’s point of view that captures the essence of the male thinking. “We are simple creatures ladies, give us something that makes our mouths water.” I have always advocated that men are simple creatures, we want feeding, fucking and our egos stroking, that is it….the rest is semantics. This book truly captures the way we think. The outline is that high class women get sent to see Justice Drake by their husbands and stay at his sex palace to teach them how to be more attractive and keep their men interested in having sex with them. Why I hear you ask…simple…because these men are all straying from their wives and seeking spills and thrills in more exciting avenues of pleasure as their wives light up the bedroom like a wet match. Chauvinistic? Yes it is….A little bit of a reality check for some maybe?…Again, yes it is…Is there truth in this notion? I will leave that up to you to decide, but it does make fascinating reading! Justice Drake shows the ladies what men really want them to be like in the bedroom and how to do it like a pro. There is a love interest and an underlying secondary story throughout, which I will not spoil for you. This book raises some interesting points and will no doubt cause some soap box action and bra burning from all the feminist and equality readers out there, but give it a chance. It will answer some of the questions about men’s psyche. Have you ladies ever wondered why men actually like porn and strippers? Apart from seeing naked flesh and cheap thrills, it’s to see these women who seem to love sex so much and flaunt their sex in our faces. Yes they are being paid for it blah blah blah, yes it’s only acting yawn yawn yawn, but seeing a women enjoying sex or just sexing it up turns us on…a lot…let me explain! We don’t care if you’re acting or can’t pull off the flash dance routine in full while giving us a lap-dance. No, the point is your attention is on us. Just the same way the porn star looks into the camera right at us or the stripper looks back us while twerking. We don’t want sex swings, porn star sex and lap dances with you all the time, we just need to know that you have it in you should the opportunity present itself. Justice Drake shows the women how to unleash that animal inside, that us men know wants to come out. This is the theme, as I see it, behind the book, husbands don’t actually want other women, they want you just with a side order of whore now and then. Think about it, if you are getting fillet steak at home, do you need to go and have a chewy bit of stewing steak? No. But as much as we love our fillet, we also like to eat a dirty burger now and then…a filthy dirty burger who lets us know that this is the best fucking burger in the whole world we are ever going eat. And after we eat it, we just want another one. But why should we have to change, it’s his fault, I hear you all scream, it isn’t right… Neither is Justin Bieber being declared a musical artist or children dressed as adults in my view, but this is something I have to suffer seeing nevertheless and appears to be part of the world we live in. This is definitely a thought provoking book, which for me makes a great change to the normal themed erotic based novels. There is not loads of sex in it, but there doesn’t need to be. Wow, that is a first for me… If any of you ladies would like a copy of the “how to please your man 12 step programme by MB” I’ve got some laminated copies on order which I can send out to you upon request. It’s been a pleasure, Ladies MB “Do your worst, Justice Drake.” J&G: Well we had planned on doing a full review for Taint, but after that fabulous insight there’s not a lot we can add. Did we enjoy this book? Yes, we sure did. Did it live up to the synopsis? Well….yes and no. That was one kick arse synopsis and because of that, we did expect to experience more of “that” Justice Drake. It was a sexy, fun, had emotion and some really good twists and our appetites were whetted ‘pre Ally’, but we needed to see more of the arsehole sexpert Justice in full flight. Other than that, we really did enjoy this one! “I want suburban slut. Housewife meets whore. Sell it. Make me believe it. “Curiosity kills the cat.” Yeap, guilty as charged. I was so curious about it that, although I knew I wouldn’t like it, I wanted to see what the hype about it was. Only, this wasn't as bad as I expected; it was just worse. So did my curiosity kill me? Nope, I am now relieved because I regret the things I don't do, not the things I've done. So now, I am just marking one writer off my list… Never another book by this writer again. As simple as that... *** The book is written by the male point of view “Curiosity kills the cat.” Yeap, guilty as charged. *** The book is written by the male point of view by a female writer and as you know it is not an easy task to pull off. And, she couldn’t pull it off. Period! *** The female character, Ally, doesn’t make sense at all. What she says & what she does just doesn’t make sense. It is impossible to understand this character as there is not enough insight to her. *** The book begins with a kind of humiliation of women in my opinion. The hero, Justice, accuses them for not knowing what to do in bed and that is why their husbands turn to other women. If they have never had an orgasm before, how about the possibility of their husbands not knowing what to do? Whatever, he promises them he would teach them how to be a sexy woman in bed in six weeks so that they can keep their husbands away from other women. My God, it was an indescribable torture for me to read those parts… But again, I really wondered about the hype so I got what I asked for. *** Something happens and develops between Justice and one of the clients, Ally but believe me it really doesn’t make sense. He thinks about angels and sunlight when he looks at her. We don’t know what she thinks as it is not written in dual point of view so what she says and what she does isn’t enough to understand what kind of a character she is and what she really wants from Justice or what she really wants in life. *** If you want to pick this book up to read something very hot, maybe you should know that the first kiss comes after the %50. And it may have intimate scenes afterwards but not that much and definitely not that good. *** Maybe no need to say but this is definitely not for the safety gang as Justice has sex with two of his employees to be able to get over his attraction to Ally. He also constantly touches the other women in the group as well, the clients I mean, to teach them something. Although he says he would go further with touching normally and he cannot do it now because of Ally watching, the lengths he goes to is still disturbing if you are looking for safety. *** The writing is bad. I am sorry to say it like this but it really is bad. It just doesn’t flow. It doesn't give enough insight to anything or anyone. The side characters all feel flat. The plot twist is absurd. The male point of view doesn’t make the effect of, for example Drew in “Tangled”. This male character just sounds annoying. Despite all his d*ckish comments, Drew was a very likable character. Justice is not. So please do not believe it when you read he is compared to Tangled’s Drew. I actually read it somewhere and it was one of the reasons I wanted to read this book. Male point of view is interesting for me. But this one wasn’t good and the comparison about the similarity between Drew and Justice cannot be farther from the truth. Final word on it: Not recommended...

This is real life, and in the episode of 'Lifestyles of the Rich and Lonely" the good guy doesn't rescue the girl from her philandering husband. No. He teaches her how to fuck him." Taint by S.L. Jennings is one of the most unique books I have had the pleasure of reading this year. After reading the blurb and drooling over the smokin' hot cover, this book shot to the top of my to be read list! And let me tell you... I devoured this book and the enigma known as Justice Drake ;) Justice Drake isn't your typical type of instructor. He is in the business of teaching wealthy women how to seduce and pleasure their husbands so that those men will no longer engage in affairs with other women. His instructional methods are very unconventional. His demeanor comes across as crass, apathetic, and above all, brutally honest. He definitely isn't afraid to call it like he sees it. I want to take a moment to shout to the world that, despite his quirks, I freaking love Justice Drake! <333 He is sexy, confident, outspoken, honest, and intelligent. Personally, I found his character really refreshing as he is so unlike any other book heroes you read about. And it didn't hurt that I had pics of Mike Thurston (the cover model) to help me imagine Justice while I was reading about him ;) One of Justice's biggest rules is to never get physically or emotionally involved with his clients. He certainly never expected a certain redheaded spitfire to catch his attention and break through the defenses surrounding his heart. Ally Carr is a temptation that Justice finds himself in a losing battle against. Ally has a firecracker of a personality that you just can't help but love. She is strong, loyal, stands by her beliefs, has a huge heart, and isn't afraid to tell Justice when she thinks he is wrong. She is also adorably awkward at times. One of my favorite scenes is when she explains to Justice that she enjoys his non-dick moments and he asks for clarification on what she meant... "No! No, not what I meant! I mean, the dickless you. No! Um, uh you without the dickiness!" Ally covers her rapidly reddening face with her other hand and shakes her head. "Oh my God, I'm hopeless. Cut out my tongue now before I make an even bigger fool of myself." Overall, I was completely hooked by the forbidden romance between Justice and Ally. I loved experiencing the slow build of their relationship and reading about their struggle to fight the attraction and growing feelings for one another. If you love forbidden romances, a hero you won't soon forget, and a feisty heroine, then you definitely need to read this book! I'm also giving away a SIGNED PAPERBACK of Taint on my blog! Kelli C ~ Jack Sawyer's Heart

ARRRGH! I lost my entire review! So here is an abbreviated version...This is Justice Drake... He does his best thinking and acting in the shower! He runs a paradise escape for wealthy and stuffy housewives whose husbands pay to have them "educated in the ways of whoredom!" Really, he is bettering society! Well, Justice is a cold man, he has a job to do. He has been there done that and he knows what a man wants. He just wasn't expecting a married woman to make him "want." Mrs. Allison Carr isn't like ARRRGH! I lost my entire review! So here is an abbreviated version...This is Justice Drake... He does his best thinking and acting in the shower! Well, Justice is a cold man, he has a job to do. He has been there done that and he knows what a man wants. He just wasn't expecting a married woman to make him "want." Mrs. Allison Carr isn't like the others...she is fresh, sassy, and fun. She truly is a goofball. Her skills in anything passion are severely lacking, however Justice takes his teaching to a new level when it comes to her education. Too bad this education didn't come until around 75% in the book. With a name like TAINT, I wanted dirty, I wanted more. I admit to lol moments and a few blushes, but TOO much talking. Too much Ally and her quirks. Also, we cant forget she is married, AHA, the angst...the lies the deceit the heartbreak. When all is said and done I was left just wandering, kinda like Justice! Suddenly...it is over, just one quirky question and all is well in the world. MEH'
